Open since 1971, this restaurant is a delight for Glaswegians food lovers and keeps on acquiring awards. Located in former stables on Ashton Lane, a small, charming and lively cobblestone street, the place includes several areas, each with a different ambiance in which the chef serves his best cuisine. You can enjoy a menu that changes seasonally, always including the famous and exquisite Aberdeen beef tenderloin on the ground floor in an inner courtyard with an urban jungle-like setting.
Both more relaxed and less expensive, the brewery located on the first floor has mezzanine or terrace seating areas where you can enjoy traditional Scottish dishes such as tuna tartar, smoked salmon or the famous stuffed ewe's stomach, prepared with both savoir-faire and originality. The wine list is as selective as the whiskey list, to taste at the cocktail bar (with moderation, of course), the best being the Island of Islay's very peaty product.
