The Vancouver Fringe Festival

The 31st Vancouver International Fringe Festival opens September 8, 2016, for ten days of theatre, accessible to all.
Every year this festival for all ages presents more than 700 shows over ten days in every corner of Granville Island and its surroundings, on stages or in unconventional places to promote dialogue between artists and the public. The Fringe is an experimental theatre where all requests are accepted and participants are practically drawn at random. Tickets for shows are put on sale in late July on the festival site. The event is organised by the First Vancouver Theatrespace Society, a non-profit association. The first festival was held in 1985.
