The Miradouro de Graça is one of the most romantic gazebos, with stunning views over São Jorge Castle and the Tagus.
Miradouro São Pedro de Alcântara, located in the Príncipe Real street is the only one to offer a 180-degree view of the Alfama hill, the castle São Jorge, and Rossio Square. Miradouro das Portas do Sol is the favourite of party animals and those who love to see the sun rise above the rooftops of the capital. If the nocturnal life is not your forte, during the day you can admire one of the best views of the Monastery of São Vicente da Fora and the church of Santo Estevão. Santa Catarina, with its kiosk converted into a café, is the city's ‘postcard' terrace.
It is also known for its statue of the ‘Adamastor', in homage to the creature invented by Luís de Camões in his epic poem, The Lusiads.
