At the heart of the Boston Center for the Arts, the Beehive offers a bohemian atmosphere with great jazz and cabaret programming. Its name comes from La Ruche, the iconic artist studio in Montparnasse in Paris, a hangout for many artists in the 20s, including Chagall and Léger.
The Beehive is a fashionable café des artistes, featuring live music almost every night of the week. The restaurant menu offers duck à l'orange, vegetarian curry or cheeseburgers, not mentioning oysters of the day, fried calamari and a cauliflower steak, all of which go well with wines from all over the world.
