Swimming with the sharks, paddling with the dolphins

Guaranteed adrenaline with a dive into Two Oceans Aquarium and a joy ride aboard a kayak to chase humpback whales.

If Steven Spielberg's Jaws made you smile, you may be ready to swim with the sharks! You can opt to do a shark dive (safely ensconced in a steel cage) in Shark Alley, or further away on Mossel Bay's Garden Route, in the hope of catching sight of a great white shark.
Less controversial and especially less risky, dive at the Two Oceans Aquarium at Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, an option that will please the whole family, witnessing your water theatrics. No white sharks there, but many unsympathetic large teeth predators… as well as penguins!
Other less dramatic confrontations with nature can be made on a kayak. You can see humpback whales (generally between July and December), seals, penguins, and even dolphins. Some of these animals are curious enough to swim along with you. A magical moment for the entire family!
