An extraordinary museum, devoted to the art movements of the 20th century, the Novecento was designed by architects Italo Rota and Fabio Fornasari.
In the entrance, there is an immense painting by Eugenio de Chirico entitled The Fountain of Mysterious Baths. Then, as you go up the spiral ramp, you climb through the years. The art gradually shifts from Futurism to 60s Arte Povera, for example.
In addition to some Modigliani and Kandinsky, there are artists like Umberto Boccioni, Gino Severini, Mario Sironi and Fausto Melotti, not to mention Lucio Fontana, to whom an entire room has been dedicated.
