Located in the picturesque Alfama district and featuring both a typical Lisbon patio of yore and a beautiful whitewashed facade, the Memmo Alfama dates back to the 19th century. A work by Portuguese artist Vhils on one of the exterior walls sets the tone.
The lounge area is cosy and the concierge is a fount of information about the local sights and attractions. There are many books and much documentation available in a small space dedicated to the history of Lisbon.
Neutral tones (beige, taupe, white) and wood are featured in the rooms. Located on the first floor, the Memmo Terrace Alfama has a red-coloured pool in striking contrast to the blue of the river, and the wine bar is the ideal place for a drink facing the Tagus.
