Ma'na Restaurant: the soul of Turkish cuisine

The spirit of traditional “meyhanes”, revisited by an inventive young couple.

Meyhanes are typical Turkish taverns that serve meze, salads, fish, and seafood, all generously washed down with raki. There are many in the Karaköy district, but Ma'na's unique atmosphere, redolent of authenticity, sets it apart.

Chic, elegant, and bright, the place has mastered the art of Eastern and Mediterranean meze: hummus, fish cakes, courgette fritters, kaskarikas (zucchini skins), and vine leaves, all made with products as fresh as can be.

Add to this about 30 rakis (aniseed eau-de-vie) of varying alcoholic levels, served in glasses of three different sizes: the choice is yours. Crowds gather on weekend nights, so arrive early or book ahead.
