The latest creation of Grupo Tragaluz, the Luzi Bombón made a strong impression at the time of its appearance on the Madrid night scene.
With its retro interior composed of 1950s fabrics, polished concrete floors, and panelled walls, the restaurant, decorated by the highly rated Spanish designer Sandra Tarruella, looks like it stepped out of the pages of the English magazine, Wallpaper. In terms of food, too, the establishment is very fashion-forward.
The menu, inspired by French brasserie fare, serves tapas like wood-oven piquillo pimentos and Mediterranean specialities along with raw oysters and delicious Spanish dishes made with rice. As the night progresses, the Luzi Bombón is transformed into a party venue, where the city's best DJs will make you dance until the first light of dawn.
