Le Ventre de l'Architecte

Le Ventre de l'Architecte

Ingenious alliances, sometimes risqué, always felicitous.

At the heart of the famous 'Cité Radieuse', designed by Le Corbusier in the 1950s, is this surprising gourmet restaurant, named after the Peter Greenaway film, The Belly of an Architect. Decorated in white wood and grey marble, the space is intimate, relaxing, and timeless. The terrace, with its exceptional view, resembles a ship's passage, with its wooden bridge, 1930s iron chairs and Jean Prouvé-like 'compass' table.

This is an authentic place with authentic cuisine by the talented chef Chef Jérôme Caprin, whose use of local products is elegantly showcased at a very affordable price. In the evening, the gourmet offerings include roasted scallops with saffron potatoes and “burnt” leaks, or a red onion soup in saffron. For dessert tangerines, coffee and chocolate will bring closure to a delightful meal.
