Having adopted Réunion as his home, Benoît Vantaux opened his kitchen atelier in Saint-Denis in 2006 after presiding over the InterContinental's restaurant in Paris. Here, an inventive and creative cuisine is served to perfection, seating 24 patrons for both lunch and dinner.
Everything is revisited and the menu is constantly renewed. With unpretentious decor in a beautiful black and white space, this restaurant is charming and modern. The service and warm welcome complement a menu full of flavour and authenticity. The chef takes on the great gastronomic classics with an astute marriage of ingredients and offers, to start, ravioli of mi-cuit duck foie gras and black truffle emulsion, followed by a crispy supreme of chicken with potato gnocchi, leaks and tonka bean juice.
For dessert, chocolate fondant or red fruit tartlet are outstanding. Benoît also offers cooking classes. Remember to book ahead!
