Iconic Barbie at Paris's Decorative Arts Museum

The Decorative Arts Museum welcomes, for the first time, Mattel's iconic Barbie doll, a perfect reflection of the times.

Some 700 Barbie dolls are on display at the Museum of Decorative Arts. It is a retrospective for young and old. The exhibition explores the success of this iconic doll and recounts her evolution from her creation in 1959 until today. It shows that Barbie is a faithful reflection of her era(s), and perfectly suited to the different political, social, and cultural movements of her time.
