Embrace the desert

Set out for the quiet Agafay desert and its incredible dunes, Kasbahs and Berber villages over 18 miles.

Utter the word ‘desert' and the Sahara will surely come to mind first. The Agafay desert however, though less known and less frequented, is much closer to Marrakech (the Sahara is about 62 miles away) and is sure to win you over with its uniqueness. White dunes of rocks make up most of this mineral desert, a natural gem surprising visitors with its shiny beauty.
You will also find an oasis set in a valley, the green colour of which offers a stark contrast with the surrounding rocky landscapes. You may elect to roam the place by quad, buggy or 4x4. To sleep on the spot, you may either set up camp or book a night in a nearby bivouac. There's always the option to sleep in old farm turned guesthouse. Whether for one or several days, this getaway is for sure an unusual experience... and will remain one of your fondest memories.
