Located two steps away from Dublin's St Stephen's Green park, Ely Wine Bar is now one of the iconic mainstays of the capital. It took up residence in a townhouse, typical of the Georgian district that was built from 1714 to 1820 by kings George I, II and III. With exposed grey brick walls, as well as wooden floors and furniture, the wine bar gives off an inviting feeling, ideal when one tastes great vintages.
The list presents a selection of about a hundred wines by the glass and five hundred bottles, sourced from European soil but also from the New World. Depending on your choice, let the sommelier pair your wine with accompanying dishes, all cooked from organic ingredients, like the beef carpaccio or the calamari with homemade aioli. Ely Wine Bar regularly offers wine tasting courses, a great opportunity to learn from great connoisseurs.
