An impressive building designed in 1901 by Italian architect Adamo Boari, which took several architects the next 30 years to build, the Palacio de Bellas Artes is unique in its mix of styles
Enjoy the extravagant Art Nouveau exterior in Carrara marble topped by a striking and colourful dome. Admire the spectacular Art Deco interior with circular Tiffany stained glass and frescoes by Diego Rivera, José Clemente Orozco, David Alfaro Siqueiros, Rufino Tamayo, and Jorge González Camarena, five of Mexico's greatest painters. Used for opera, classical music, and dance, the Palace of Fine Arts also houses the National Fine Arts Museum and the Museum of the Book
It now welcomes more than 1.5 million visitors a year and has definitely established itself as the true pillar of artistic and cultural creation in the country.
