Château de Brindos

Château de Brindos

Luxurious home in a bucolic setting.

Nestled in a four-hectare park and overlooking the largest private lake in France, this Relais and Chateaux is a peaceful 5 star haven, ideal for a romantic getaway. Situated in Anglet and just five minutes from the beaches, you'll nevertheless feel the sweet sensation of being cut off from the world, far from the urban bustle.

Once occupied by Sir Reginald Wright, a wealthy lover of the Basque Country, the Chateau also contains surprising elements of Spanish- and Moorish-inspired décor. This taste for the exotic is shared by the current owner, Serge Blanco, whose dreams and various journeys have inspired the names of the 29 rooms and suites: the Borneo Suite, for example, and the Seville and Venice Suites. The Babylon Suite, with its two terraces, is the most prized. The lakeside bridle path, outdoor pool, golf courses and proximity to mountains open the field of possibilities for those not content with mere sunbathing. Excellence and refinement are reflected in each plate thanks to the talents of chef Gabriele Ferri, who collaborates with François Adamski, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France and Bocuse d'Or.

Together they strive to achieve wonders, such as roasted langoustine tails, mashed carrots with ginger and citrus or a sphere with crispy praline, brownie and popcorn foam.
