Casa Santa Clara, traditional cuisine on the heights of Bogotá

At the very peak of Monserrate, overlooking the Colombian capital, Casa Santa Clara offers local gourmet cuisine inside of a typical old house.

Surrounded by abundant Colombian flora, Casa Santa Clara is a true haven of peace. Far from the bustle of Bogotá, tucked on the heights of Monserrate mountain, this gigantic structure is reminiscent of 1960s homes with its white facade laced with numerous doors and windows. Inside, the simple and warm decoration - old wood parquet flooring, black and white photos of the capital hung on the walls - adds something to an even more authentic character. With a panoramic view of the city as a backdrop, order one of the country's traditional dishes, such as chicken with passion fruit sauce and coconut rice or the grilled fillet of beef served with Creole fries, guacamole and oven-baked yucca. In the evening, dinner is accompanied by regional music concerts. Finish the meal on a high note by having a seat on a bench, facing the view, and allow your mind to wander before the city's night lights.
