Astair: Belle Époque-style contemporary brasserie

Astair: Belle Époque-style contemporary brasserie

A fine address, the chef serving unpretentious yet delicious food.

In some part of the Galerie des Panoramas, you will find a festive and laid-back sort of brasserie. Decoration is conceived by Tristan Auer, who also created the hand-carved cork ceiling, art exhibited on the walls and the skilled metalwork for the bar. Take a seat on one of the high chairs with velvet padding to sip on a black pepper and cucumber gin & tonic, in moderation of course. Once at your table, you will discover 3-starred chef Gilles Goujon's refined and sophisticated cuisine. On the menu, classics of French cuisine, like oysters or semi-preserved duck foie gras served with a fig chutney. Main courses are meant to be simple and to the point: farm chicken supreme, veal liver or filet of salmon from Scotland for instance. The "Gilles' bourgeois dishes" section of the menu takes a more sophisticated turn, with sautéed monkfish cheeks, colourful vegetables and tarragon sauce, or “Gilles' lamb stew”. Whichever you choose, you are sure to be pleased.
