Named “Leeuwen Kop” by the first Dutch settlers in the 17th century, this geological formation resembling a lion's head – hence the name – is now a national park and entices the curiosity and daring of many hikers. The panoramic views of the Atlantic coast, golden beaches and the city itself are exceptional from Signal Hill, Devil's Peak and Table Mountain. Climb the heather walls of the massif and reach the summit of this rocky peak with a lion's head for which Signal Hill is the body.
Set off to conquer a grandiose Africa that passing tourists discover during sunny or nocturnal getaways. Camps Bay, Clifton, and Green Point are within easy reach of your hands (on rope ladders) and feet (to climb the steepest trails). The day rises over Cape Town and bathes the most intrepid with morning light.
