Located just minutes from Rothschild Boulevard, the nerve centre of Tel Aviv's cultural scene, the Abraxas North brings a theatrical touch to the culinary scene of the city. The eccentric owner and chef Eyal Shani celebrates international flavours.
With a menu that changes daily according to the freshest ingredients available, he offers cutting-edge recipes and chats regularly with some of his customers sitting around his beautiful open kitchen. Expect flavours ranging from braised cabbage with grilled eggplant, through the European register (hamburger, crumbles). The restaurant's originality? The dishes are served on small paper plates, on cardboard, or in the pans used for cooking. We guess its because they don't like doing dishes here…
Intimate and unpretentious, the restaurant has high ceilings and hanging lamps that enhance the restaurant's charm. Head for the counter if you want to be served quickly.
