A golfing competition in exotic surroundings

The New Caledonian South Pacific Classic event for the Australasian PGA Legends combines fun in the sun and leisurely seaside sports. Clubs at the ready!

The South Pacific Classic is a friendly sporting event at the Deva Golf Resort, surrounded by 7,700 hectares of nature and coastline. Former golfing pro Richard Ellis had a hand in organising the first event in September 2017, which attracted golfers from all over the Pacific. Nestled in idyllic surroundings between the azure blue of the lagoon and Deva's rolling hills, competitors play for two days. When they're not battling it out in the first two rounds of the tournament, they can explore the many hiking and mountain biking trails or enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear waters of Poé Beach.
The tournament continues at the palm-lined Tina Golf Club, closer to Nouméa and the lagoon. The South Pacific Classic is part of the Australasian Legends Tour, which sees players battle it out over the course of around sixty tournaments held across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and now New Caledonia.
