Can I get a refund if my flight is delayed?
If your flight is subject to a long delay, we provide immediate care and assistance (refreshments, meals, telephone calls) and a hotel room for 1 night if necessary.
However, Air France is not responsible in the following cases: air traffic control problems, adverse weather conditions, safety and security issues, strikes within and outside of Air France.
A long delay is defined as:
- 2 hours or more for flights up to 1,500 km,
- 3 hours or more for flights of 1,500 km to 3,500 km and for all flights over 1,500 km within a single country,
- 4 hours or more for flights of over 3,500 km. If your flight is delayed by at least 5 hours and you prefer not to travel, we can refund your ticket.
