Just 10 minutes from Ipanema, this guesthouse is situated in the heart of Tijuca National Park, the largest urban forest in the world.
A picturesque construction, all in wood, it was built in the 1960s by a big name in Brazilian architecture, José Zanine, and it took ten years to renovate. The new owner, Matteo Basadonna, revived this treasure, a villa of 10,000 square metres in a stunning landscape, overlooking the São Conrado beach and facing Pedra da Gávea Mountain a majestic and enigmatic rectangular stone slab that you can see from the four suites of the house. The rooms have exotic decor, wooden parquet ceilings, and rustic furniture that is carved and hand-painted in different shades of blue, violet, and black.
To complete your stay, enjoy the rock swimming pool, the spa, and a wide range of activities, such as climbing, swimming, and paragliding.
