You'll feel right at home in this traditional house from the 19th century, which is accessed by the Elevador do Lavra, the oldest funicular in Lisbon, at Largo da Anunciada.
The decor of each of the twenty eight rooms is inspired by a Portuguese queen (or a foreign queen, provided she lived in Portugal): Dona Catarina de Bragança, Dona Isabel, Dona Estefania…or by a king. The hotel has a villa for four people, adjacent to the main building, equipped with a kitchenette and with direct access to the pool.
Don't miss the panoramic views of the river and Saint George's Castle from the Torel Palace garden. Parrots sometimes make appearances in spring, squawking in the trees of the wonderful gazebo.
