Tokyo vintage at Pass the Baton, Meister, Toll Free and Solakzade

At several boutiques selling things from yesteryear, vintage is the name of the game.

The idea of Masamichi Toyama, owner of Pass the Baton, was to open a recycling shop of a new kind.

Clients bring objects, clothes, artworks, or fashion accessories that are dear to them, but whose time has come. And he passes them along. Dresses from the 1980s, a collection of vintage porcelain, and unique accessories are all presented in the two shops. The Meister store, located in Meguro, sells a sampling of furniture and lighting inspired by the 1930s to the 1950s. Toll Free has created one-of-a-kind offerings by deconstructing and reconstructing from vintage elements.

And finally, just for the eyes, enter Solakzade and discover an incredible collection of eyeglasses and sunglasses, including retro models and selections inspired by Hollywood stars; a jewellery shop is also in the works.
