The Trick Eye Museum: optical illusions and artistic interaction

If you thought you’d seen everything in Seoul, think again!

Located in the centre of the artistic Hongdae area of Seoul, the Trick Eye uses trompe-l'œil techniques to great effect. Optical illusions, 3D versions of famous paintings, and interactivity are at the heart of the visit.

The first part of the museum takes you literally inside Pere Borrell del Caso and Leonardo da Vinci's paintings, or into the arms of Superman, or climbing trees with koalas. In the second part is the Ice Museum, where ice structures and slides will entertain and awaken your inner child. The third section is for adults only: it uses the same techniques of optical illusion but for purely ‘erotic' purposes. Meanwhile, children can play in the fourth part, Carnival, which is filled with games and rides. An entertaining and interactive sensory experience for everyone.
