The Puerto de Frutos de Tigre: colourful, lively market

A walk to discover local crafts on the banks of the Tigre in this former fruit market.

On the right bank of the Río Luján, which is crossed going up the Tigre, Le Puerto de Frutos is a popular venue on weekends for its unique craft market. Once a fruit market, today decorative items in wicker and woven baskets, rustic fabrics, liqueurs, delicious honey and costume jewellery are sold. High quality wicker objects can be found alongside very simple crafts.

You can stop in one of the little bars facing the river to order churros, sweet little donuts to have with hot chocolate. This is a picturesque and refreshing outing for very hot summer days.
