The Magic Water Tour of the Park of the Reserve

Framed by two very busy streets, the Paseo de la Republica Expressway and Avenida Arequipa, is the green, eight-hectare oasis of the Peruvian capital.

Right in the city centre, this pleasant park allows you to fill your lungs with fresh air while admiring sculptures by Peruvian artists and the neoclassical buildings of French architect Claude Sahut.

What draws a million annual visitors, however, is the sensational Magic Water Tour (El Circuito Mágico del Agua), registered in the Guinness Book of Records for the sophisticated complexity of its water games, music, and lights. People come here to splash in the water all day, and to take in the great night show, orchestrated around a dozen beautifully illuminated fountains. The most impressive attractions are the Magic Fountain, which shoots a jet of water up to 80 metres in the air, and the Fantasia Fountain, which projects lasers onto a liquid wall.

You'll be amazed by the modernity of this incredible interactive world, which involves a profusion of synchronised jets, with a coordinated soundtrack combining Peruvian waltzes and Abba's greatest hits.
