The echo of stars, divas, and composers

art & culture

A splendid repertoire all summer long offers grand opera under the stars in a princely historical setting. But don't forget the thrilling concerts year-round at the new Philharmonie de Paris.

From mid-June to mid-September, hundreds of spectators discover a classic and originally staged repertory work in the most beautiful sites in and around Paris, including the Musée des Invalides and Chateau de Vincennes. For 15 years, the open-air opera festival has been devoted to promoting young talent and great lyrical works in the most prestigious historical settings. Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Bizet, Offenbach, and Rossini are all on offer.

The Philharmonie de Paris, on the other hand, offers a rich program of concerts and performances throughout the year. It hosts the Paris Chamber Orchestra, the National Orchestra of the Ile de France, Les Arts Florissants, and, most importantly, prestigious orchestras, international conductors, and soloists from around the world. Its numerous recital halls showcase classical repertoire, as well as contemporary and world music.
