The Aubrey Boutique Hotel: a night in a mansion

charm

A leading boutique hotel, this urban sanctuary has taken possession of an English manor house, built in the 1920s for a wealthy railway tycoon.

In the district of Bellavista, the cultural heart of the Santiago, this residence has preserved the identity of its colourful colonial past. The medieval stone facade maintains its allure,as a backdrop to the fountains and patios, fragrant flowers and exotic plants.

The 15 rooms and suites open onto the lush vegetation of the Cerro San Cristobal, in a comfortable atmosphere propitious for art, space, and modernity. The atmosphere remains very convivial in the lounge bar with tastings of cocktails from around the world. The dining room of Pasta E Vino has a history.

For three decades, legendary breakfasts were held here, attended by the leading social and political elite, including President Alessandri, in office until 1938. Today, the menu has turned to fine Italian cuisine. On the menu, fresh duck ravioli, gnocchi and spinach ricotta, risotto, seafood appetisers and salads, always accompanied by the best Chilean wines.
