Tama Lodge: where paradise meets the beach

Just over an hour away from the capital, enjoy your stay and take your meals under a parasol—with your feet literally in the sand.

On one of the most beautiful beaches in the country, with a subtle light crossing through the shade of swaying palms, stay in authentic Senegalese huts decorated with African sculptures and beds chiselled from logs. Even if some windows are small, in keeping with the style of the huts, you are only metres away from the ocean.

The setting will immerse you in the pleasure of a well-earned rest. You can wander just a few steps from your room for a breakfast served on tables stuck into the sand, or have an aperitif by candlelight under the stars at night. For dinner, the restaurant serves dishes made from the freshest market produce and the fishermen's outing that morning. Your grilled seafood may be presented on large slabs of wood or wrapped in a banana leaf and accented with exotic fruits and bright vegetables. The staff is full of smiles and kindness, including the owner, Elizabeth, who gives great advice for your outings.
