Tágide and Tágide Wine & Tapas Bar: an exceptional view of Lisbon

view

In the heart of Chiado, a more casual alternative to the gourmet restaurant of the same name.

For more than 30 years, Tágide has served excellent Portuguese cuisine in a cosy atmosphere enhanced by large, blue-carpeted rooms, soft lighting, and small balconies opening onto the banks of the Tagus.

In 2012, the Tágide Wine & Tapas Bar opened on the ground floor. Highlighted by a particularly successful 1950s Deco theme, the bar has spectacular views over the rooftops of the capital. The best options are the Portuguese tapas (petiscos) with scrambled eggs à la farinheira (sausage), Bulhão Pato clams, or stuffed and breaded sardines, all accompanied by a masterful selection of Portuguese wines. A jazz band plays Friday nights.
