Stravaigin, organic cuisine with a marriage of Asian flavours

Scottish specialities are revisited with a Thai influence, offering an array of flavours to be discovered.

This ‘slow food' address is known in all of Glasgow by word of mouth. Located in the basement of a pub offering a wide array of Scottish and foreign beers to taste without the slightest hesitation–especially the 1488 Premium Whisky Beer, brewed in Scotland. Simply borrow a ladder to dive into a simple and warm atmosphere with the sole criterion “Think Global, Eat Local”. As in many other restaurants in the city, you will only find fresh, local and seasonal products selected only from the best producers.

The chef loves to surprise with innovative cuisine rich in spices and daring combinations. The organic salmon filet is served with a coriander chilli puree and the grilled mackerel with black beans, but you may set your heart on the   shrimp tempura or cucumber radish salad. The dessert menu has not been forgotten, with a candied ginger orange pudding. One thing is certain, you will not leave hungry!
