The Cure started their latest tour with a gig in New Orleans on May 11th. Robert Smith and his band played 28 songs, including two new ones, which are available for streaming online: Step into the Light and It Can Never Be the Same. The shows last for some incredible three hours and showcase songs from every era of the band history, with some rarely played ones like A Letter to Elise, At Night, and Burn, composed in 1994 for The Crow's soundtrack.
Is the tour secretly announcing a new album (the last one was released in 2008)? Every fan hopes so! While waiting for the answer, as Robert Smith puts it, “Come closer and see / See into the dark.”
