Spotlight on photography at the Rencontres d'Arles

Published on 06-16-2016 Agenda

The Provence region, a particular city, bold photographs offered to the gaze of thousands of collectors and connoisseurs… The Rencontres d'Arles are an invitation to travel.

For the 47th time, the Rencontres d'Arles will turn the luminous city of Arles into the capital of photography for three months. This festival, which has no equal on the planet, is the highlight of photographical creation. Wherever you may go in the city, whether interested in churches and 12th century abbeys, cloisters, the archbishop's palace or industrial buildings, your eyes will feast on the art of world-renowned photographers.

Photographers are explorers who, through the prism of their lenses, show us snapshots of History, or mere moments in life. For the entire duration of the event, many exhibitions will be offered (“Plateformes du visible”, “Street”, “Africa Pop”, “Monstres & Co”, “Western Stories”, “Après la guerre”) with one goal only: sharpen and prepare your eyes to all things beautiful.
