Silicon Valley: incubator of genius

The brains of Silicon Valley have set the world afire digitally, and now they are looking to start us towards an ecological future.

San Jose is the capital of the Silicon Valley, south of San Francisco. Steve Wozniak, the designer of the first Apple computers, is from here. San Jose is now one of the most active and the committed cities to ideas of innovation and ecological conversion.

Incubation cells here are thinking about how to make the city 100% green and end car traffic within the city limits in favour of bicycles. The anti-litter programme here has also been implemented in San Francisco. You may not know it, but 80% of garbage is recycled and composted here. In 2020, they are aiming for 100%. If you do not play the game, you will get a fine of 800 USD. As for compost, it is partly recovered by the winemakers of Napa Valley, who convert to viticulture.
