Pedra Bonita mountain: athletic paradise

wellness & sport

More discreet than Sugarloaf, Pedra Bonita is the best spot to practice climbing and flying.

With a summit at 696 meters, the Pedra Bonita is one of the hidden treasures of Rio. Between São Conrado and Barra da Tijuca, 30 minutes from the beaches of Copacabana, this amazing mountain in the Tijuca natural park offers an unforgettable experience in nature.

Between the hiking trails (most between 18-20 kilometers) from the heart of the largest urban forest in the world and those leading to the summit of granite, the views look out onto the Zina Sul, Sugarloaf, and Christ the Redeemer. Popular activities practiced here are climbing, paragliding, and hang-gliding from Estrada das Canoas, the main point of departure for flights lasting 10-20 minutes.

A relaxing spot to get away from the crowds of Copacabana and Ipanema, or to push yourself to the max…
