Starting off your stay in London with a double-decker bus tour will help you better find your way around on your own. London is immense, covering more than 1,500 square kilometres, so it is worth taking a tour or two to see the highlights without the headache of understanding the regular city buses. You can choose between three different tour-bus routes with a total of 80 possible stops. Your ticket is good for 24 hours and lets you get on or off at will on any given route.
The ‘Original Tour', indicated in yellow, and the ‘City Sightseeing Tour', in red, both cover the most iconic London landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Big Ben, and the Houses of Parliament, Downing Street, The London Dungeon, Tower Bridge, and the Tower of London. A third option, ‘The Museum Tour', indicated in blue, serves most of London's museums including the British Museum and the Natural History Museum.
All three tours are accompanied by audio commentary describing the points of interest along the route. Enjoy!
