Ocean Park Hong Kong: 80 hectares of emotion

park

Do you prefer a coral reef, panda conservation, or a 60-metre free fall?

Ocean Park is extravagant, and that suits it perfectly. With 80 hectares between sea and mountains, it has a marine aquarium, a zoo, and an amusement park, all three of the very highest calibre.

Visit the Butterfly House, a huge glass cocoon that contains thousands of butterflies. The Reef Atoll is a huge aquarium that reproduces the ecosystem of the Indo-Pacific basin—a coral reef there is home to more than 2,000 marine creatures of 250 species.

For its two residents, the Giant Panda Habitat Club reproduced the Sichuan climate in an enclosed space. There are scientific programmes to prevent the disappearance of the species. And what about The Abyss, which offers a free fall of 60 metres, the equivalent of 20 storeys? Parents and children will be amazed by the 30 attractions on offer.
