Montreal Botanical Garden: for nature lovers

park

A Montreal flagship, recognized as one of the largest botanical gardens in the world.

The Montreal Botanical Garden offers highly colourful all-season programming featuring events, exhibitions, and conferences. Opened June 9, 1931 by Brother Marie-Victorin and architect Henry Teuscher, it covers nearly 75 hectares.

With its collection of 22,000 plant species and cultivars, ten exhibition greenhouses, the Frédéric-Back House of Trees and 20 themed gardens, such as the Chinese garden, the rose garden, and the undergrowth garden, it is also the perfect place to stock up on fresh air. Located just minutes from downtown Montreal, near the Biodome and the Olympic Park, the Montreal Botanical Garden includes plants from around the globe.

Combined with the garden, the insectarium offers a fascinating discovery of the world of the infinitely small. The different activities will enable you to observe and better understand these fascinating ‘critters' and even to taste some…
