Millennium Biltmore: extravagant excess

This mythic hotel has played host to eight Academy Awards ceremonies and courted royalty, presidents, and movie stars.

Memorable scenes from Beverly Hills Cop and The Sting were shot here, where the Venetian Gothic style that was fashionable in the 1930s is almost overwhelming.

With its coffered ceilings and Renaissance frescoes painted by an Italian artist whose work is also in the White House and the Vatican, this is a grandiose experience. Upstairs, the rooms and suites are rather classical, bathed in an atmosphere of luxury and pleasure.

Beds are sometimes adorned with lavish canopies. All rooms are spacious and comfortable with panoramic views of the city. Finally, do not leave this amazing place without going to the basement, where a sumptuous swimming pool is hidden. The rich mosaics and colonnades are greatly inspired by the palaces of ancient Rome.
