Les Vents de la Mer and its Michelin-starred chef

charm

Les Vents de la Mer at Port Louis is a seaside and gastronomic getaway under the auspices of Patrick Gahinet, just one of the chefs to bring Brittany gastronomic acclaim.

A few miles from Lorient, in the Gulf of Morbihan, Port Louis is a fortress town that has retained its picturesque charm. Les Vents de la Mer has everything to make you want to stay as long as possible. The family of Patrick Gahinet, head of the adjoining Michelin-starred restaurant Avel Vor, has extended his art of hospitality to the three pristine, sober-chic cottages.

Bathed in light, the cottages are wide open to the garden or the sea, and are full of seaside serenity. From the private terraces of two of them, Port Locmalo can be admired at leisure. And the evening brings Gahinet's cuisine for gourmet-loving guests. Behind the restaurant's glass wall, the sun sinks into a glowing sea as fish and seafood dishes parade from the kitchen, masterpieces of the inventive cuisine that first earned Gahinet his Michelin star in 2007.
