Completely renovated, Les Halles de Biarritz are a must visit for all epicureans.
Locals go here for an early breakfast before work during the week, and later in the morning on weekends. They “faire son marché” and then meet up with friends for a drink, or to slurp back oysters at Nopal, eat truffle omelettes at Maison Balme, sushi at Cora and/or a green juice with a banana bread at the Milwaukee Café.
A true temple of local gastronomy, Les Halles is full of delicacies and products of the region. Local cheese, fruit and seasonal vegetables are readily available, as is a myriad of Basque and Spanish charcuterie ham, chorizo, etc. plus freshly caught fish and, of course, the famous Gateau Basque.
At night, the Les Halles neighbourhood comes alive, as crowds pour into the area to kick off their evening.
