Le RhinO dans l'O: with your feet in the Mediterranean


Former Parisian restaurateur Bernard Levy, a Toulon convert, wakes up every morning at 5:30 a.m. for the fish auctions to buy the daily catch for his ‘à la carte' menu.

The specials on the blackboard change according to what's shown up at the docks. In a seaside atmosphere, the red, south-facing terrace is among the best spots in town.

Wild fish is the speciality bream or wolf fish simply baked with Pas du Cerf olive oil. There is also a spectacular Charolais beef tartar and ravioli with goat cream and chives. For dessert, treat yourself to a hearty banana ‘nem' with whipped chocolate cream sauce.

Every Friday night, the work of a local painter, sculptor, or photographer is put on display. Not to be missed.
