This restaurant is the go-to bar in Beirut. Opened in 2001 in a traditional house from the early 20th century, the venue fulfils architect Bernard Khoury's wish to make a grand impression hence the vast central hall with its 11 metre wine cellar tower.
The food is French with a Mediterranean influence: scallops with lemon, sea bream baked in salt, roast bar with ginger, or farm chicken with tarragon. Take the elevator, a tube of steel and glass, to the terrace bar for a cocktail, accompanied, if you're still hungry, with a quinoa salad.The view is gorgeous.
