Idylle Beach: a restaurant that lives up to its name

beach restaurant

On Nosy Boraha, close to Ambodifotatra, you can put your feet in the sand and your eyes on the lagoon while eating 100% Malagasy cuisine, slightly remixed for Western tastes.

You're not on a desert island, but it looks like it… The tables are set right on the beach. Across from you, are some Hobie Cats out enjoying the breeze. The calm is only moderately disturbed by the outboard engines of some speedboats pulling wakeboards as fast as they can.

Your entire focus is on the menu here. Grilled lobster and prawns, fish kebabs, XXL carpaccios, zebu ravioli—how will you choose? The servings are generous, so take several and share! In the evening, you can come for a candlelight dinner on the terrace where you will not escape the romance of the sunset, perhaps while savouring the cult cocktail in the lounge bar: the piña colada.
