Berlin is indisputably the European capital of the night. From underground rock to the greatest electronic music scene and speakeasy-like bars where elegance lies as much in the atmosphere as in sophisticated cocktails, Berlin never sleeps. Today, Berlin is also synonymous with trendy and electric... Bars stay open late into the early morning and nothing beats a walk when night falls to truly discover the city. Victoria Bar, for a chic and glamorous last drink

Wooden panels on the walls, softened lighting, leather sofas... Victoria Bar is a safe bet of Tiergarten district, in South Berlin. You will enjoy the incredible cocktail menu as well as house creations. Cocktail lovers in their own right, the bartenders will engage you in conversations about their work.
To help you choose among the dozens of possibilities offered by the menu, we recommend the Mojito Royal, classic but heavenly. As for creations, try out the Spicy Gimlet, with rosemary infused gin based, ginger, celery and lemon.

Clärchens Ballhaus, last drink before the dance floor

In the Mitte district, head over to Clärchens Ballhaus, a ballroom that perpetuates the memory of 1920s cabarets, in both decoration and ambiance. The room is large, unusual, surprising. In a brewery atmosphere, you'll try German or Austrian specialities like the wiener schnitzel, fried veal chop in breadcrumbs, or the frikadelle, prepared according to the tradition. As for drinks, you'll have a choice of German and Italian wines.
Every night, a different activity is highlighted in the ballroom: salsa or tango lessons, swing night or concert (mainly classical). By and in between tables, artists and professionals mingle with customers of all kinds that came to dine, dance and have some fun. In Summer, you can also enjoy time in the garden, another remnant of the 1920s.

Lebensstern - Bar im Einstein, last drink for mixology lovers

In a small city house of the Charlottenburg district, a staircase leads up to Lebensstern, a true cocktail museum. Glass windows over crimson walls offer a view onto some 1,800 bottles, among them 600 rum and 200 gin varieties. In this museum, the ongoing art is called mixology. It is the art of mixing drinks and creating unique cocktails. 40-somethings with a bit of knowledge and refinement gather at the bar, or take a seat in comfy armchairs to savour one of these exceptional drinks.
If you're looking for surprises, tell the bartender what you like and wish for. He'll make sure to prepare something ideal for your taste.

Mein Haus Am See, the last drink that never ends

With comfortable armchairs and rows of seats filled with cushions, this place is typically in Berlin fashion, at once trendy and relaxed, be it for a coffee around noon, a beer at 6 p.m. or a last cocktail at 5 a.m. The bookshelves at the entrance, rock graffiti in the loo and underground dance floor all make for a truly unusual place. This is totally in keeping with the local slogan: not a bar, not a club – something sexier in between.
At night, concerts keep coming with a majority of electro artists, even though other genres are also very much welcome. Live the Berlin experience till the end of the night.

Tausend, last drink in a speakeasy

Under a railway bridge in the heart of Mitte district, do not despair if you don't find the Tausend Bar right away. That speakeasy is really well-hidden. You will hesitate until you knock on the door covered in graffiti. Wait until someone opens for you and you'll find one of the city's trendiest places inside. The Tausend is very fashionable and designer-friendly, the customer base pretty select and the atmosphere quite warm. Every night, concerts are programmed to invite people on the dance floor. Cocktails are just as great as DJs behind the decks. You'll never regret having that last drink at the Tausend Bar.

Watergate, last drink with an electro flavour

Impossible to evoke Berlin by night without mentioning the electro scene. The choice is large but the Watergate in Kreuzberg district remains unquestionably the most renowned. The talented and demanding programmers attract the greatest electro artists of the actual scene. The club spreads on two levels and directly overlooks the Spree. A piece of advice to enter the venue: wear casual clothes, sneakers and a T-shirt. If you manage to get by the bouncers, open sesame!
Let yourself be carried away by the light effects that pace your steps in sync with the music. If you want to take a break and breathe a little, head over the large terrace on stilts, from where you can see the sun rise. Then, it will definitely be time to go home...
