Four Seasons Lion Palace: rooms overlooking St. Isaac

luxury

After a careful restoration, the Four Seasons chain opened this magnificent hotel. Everything here is perfect.

Near St. Isaac's Cathedral, the former residence of Princess Lobanova-Rostovskaya a gift from her generous husband designed by the French architect Auguste de Montferrand and completed in 1819, is now a gorgeous hotel.

This ‘House with Lions', as it was long called because of the two marble lions that watch over its yellow facade, was renovated by Four Seasons and opened in July 2013. The 151 rooms and 26 suites are furnished in a classical style, and each square inch offers something special for lovers of luxury. Velvet drapes, silk, wood floors, chandeliers, marble everything is sumptuous. A majestic staircase leads from the lobby to the bedrooms. The two stylish restaurants, one Asian, the other Italian, will make you swoon. To complete your cocooning, hit the Luceo Spa, which has eight treatment rooms, a gym, and a swimming pool. A luxury jewel.
