Set on the green side of Vancouver's inner harbour, the newest member of the Fairmont group is aptly named. Located on Canada Place, the hotel was designed by Canadian architect James K. M. Cheng. This expert builder of glass towers (to whom we also owe Vancouver's Shangri-La) popularised the term ‘Vancouverism' in reference to the architectural style of the city.
With the Pacific Rim, he wanted to make this 45-storey glass tower one of the most beautiful of Vancouver's skyline. Mission accomplished. Its 377 luxurious rooms offer all the comfort, amenities, and luxury expected in this type of establishment. The terrace, on which the pool is installed, offers a true moment of fulfilment at any hour of the day, but it becomes a meeting place at sunset, when breath-taking views of the North Shore Mountains and Stanley Park are on offer.
The Giovane restaurant and Italian wine bar is always full, and the hotel even offers its customers an app to help select their wine or to discover the cellar.
