On the agenda: breathtaking scenery and vast coniferous forests. Less crowded than the Capilano version, the Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge is just as exciting an attraction and, above all, free.
The more people there are on it the more the bridge moves! After this slightly rough crossing, the forest of Lynn Canyon is ideal for a picnic with the family or a refreshing swim in the clear waters of the river. You can then take the road to Deep Cove. This bay, surrounded by mountains, is an ode to the beauty of the region. Some come by boat and drop anchor to sunbathe. Water-sports enthusiasts will love the Deep Cove Centre, which offers paddleboards, canoeing, and kayaking. The bravest will hike one hour away from the village and climb up Quarry Rock to admire a view worthy of a film set.
If you prefer strolling, visit Gallant Avenue, the only shopping street of the village, which is lined with small flowered houses. For lunch, stop at The Bluhouse Cafe, a small 100% organic coffee shop with nourishing vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free delicacies.
